Notre Oenologue :
"Une couleur de pierre rouge un nez puissant de vanille, d'épices et de piment. En bouche; le feu est présent en attaque puis la douce vanille aux éclats de caramel vient éteindre la chaleur d'une journée ardente en plein désert mexicain."
VERTDEVIN Magazine - Château de Pellehaut – Ugni Blanc 1989 – Armagnac :(Bottled in 04/2018)
The nose is fruity, well-structured, racy and offers power as well as a fine concentration. It reveals notes of orangette, dried peach and small notes of kumquat associated with a touch of quenette, dried lime, toasted almond as well as slight hints of of rancio, Timut pepper, cocoa and discreet hints of grilled / smoked. The palate is fruity, well-balanced, silky, elegant, racy and offers suavity, a very fine unctuous sensation, dynamism as well as a fine acidulous frame. On the palate, this Armagnac expresses notes of orange, crystallized tangerine and small notes of cooked peach / Tarte tatin combined with fine touches of crème brulée, pâtisseries, very slight hints of vanilla, blond tobacco as well as a very discreet hint of nutmeg and almond. Good length and persistence.
